Charming cherry blossoms from an idealized Garden of Eden of red apples, shimmery snakes, and oceanic hues inspired Monique Lhuillier‘s collection that showed at New York Fashion Week yesterday. With a rare display of trousers and cocktail dresses, everything still remained in her trademarked gown chicness. Everything was a work of art, and many pieces were perfectly paired with Fred Leighton jewels. The best was a gown for me, a cherry-blossom-print one-shouldered gown that looks like it was made for someone like Christina Hendricks.
