The abbreviation for “little black dress” (LBD) has been added to the third edition of the Oxford Dictionary of English.
Bromance, vuvuzela, turducken, and defriend were also among the more than 2,000 new entries, according to the Daily Mail. An Oxford University Press spokesman told the paper that the dictionary – which is separate from the Oxford English Dictionary – relies on a word bank that is “fully based on evidence of how language is really used.”
