In a world of opinionated fashion followers, industry professionals were prepared to see an abundance of judgement over Emmanuelle Alt‘s first few issues of Vogue Paris. Unexpectedly, the only judgement I’m sending out is positive. Look at this shoot – “Impulsion Fluo” – from their May 2011 issue. Shot by Hans Feurer, we have a barely-photoshopped Sasha Pivovarova styled in the best hues imaginable, as picked by stylist Marie Chaix. The colours are outstanding and the realness of her body – the pink skin, the (always hidden) hair on her legs – is a breath of fresh fashion air. It’s beauty.
