Inspired by fairytale creatures, Missoni delivered some necessarily exigent pieces for Fall/Winter 2011. The designs were mortally tenebrous, some would say over-styled, and – to myself – had the core of a sartorial notepad. Most go to Missoni for the chunky knits – now in braided and degradé versions – which appeared to be right at home in a sea of pastels. Angela Missoni can segue seamlessly between the heritage and the new*.
