I never went to my high school prom. Not that I’m all ‘boohoo’ about it (graduating early and high-tailing it out of Midwest America was a fair trade), but I do feel like I jipped myself out of a fun night in a sparkly dress.
As an adult, I get especially excited about spending a formal evening with friends…and sparkles (no doubt thanks to the promlessness of my youth). In fact, when it comes to special occasions, my first port of call is always prom dress websites.
Let’s just lay it out there: this dress was a given from the first click. Though style ‘gurus’ say pale girls shouldn’t wear ‘nude’ or ‘skin’ colours, it is my favourite rule to break. The colours, beading, sheer panels, and swing skirt were exactly what I was looking for.
