Gossip Girl

  • Ever heard of Romeo & Juliet Couture? No? Me either. Surprisingly, they just won themselves a collaboration that will keep their name on everyone’s lips. They are partnering with The CW on a Gossip Girl clothing line! (Finally). The collection is set to include embellished tops, bottoms, novelty sweaters, outerwear and draped chiffon dresses with touches of leather, pleats and prints. Every item in the collection will be inspired by one of the characters on Gossip Girl (I want Chuck’s clothing!). I’m guessing this will mean lots of body-conscious, partially mis-matched items (Serena), lots of prim/classic/bow-embellishments (Blair) and then, the funky’ selection (Vanessa). The line will retail for $80-$200 and will be sold in stores such as Kitson, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue come Fall.

  • Six-year-old Toddlers and Tiaras “celebrity” Eden Wood had a tantrum at the Allure Fashion Week Lounge. Not your typical toddler tantrum, either. She was simply distraught after being told that she was too young to use their GLO Brilliant teeth-whitening device.

  • For fashions Fall/Winter 2012 collections, New York Fashion Week has been scheduled to begin one week later than usual, which has ruffled some feathers in Milan. Mario Boselli, the Italian Chamber of Fashion head, called the schedule change “arrogant”, in fear that Milan Fashion Week will be “squeezed” between London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week.

  • Behnaz Sarafpour, one of the fashion designers who decided against showing a collection this season, does not believe she ever will again. She expressed feelings that it will continue to be “a lot” for her small company to produce three collections a year and will focus on showing two stronger collections, instead (either Spring and Fall or Fall and Resort).

  • Now that New York Fashion Week‘s Spring/Summer 2012 slot is over, a shot-for-shot video remake of Lanvin‘s fall campaign video has been released featuring some models, stylists, bloggers, and fashionistas around the Lincoln Center! Created by videographer David Sherman, the remake is just as charming as the original. See below!
