When I was invited to Regent Tweet a few weeks ago, I didn’t know what to expect. “An experiential shopping and lifestyle event for women that engages Regent Street’s fashion and lifestyle shops, bars and restaurants with online influencers” by description, however, piqued my interest. We all know I love me some Twitter, and with an itinerary full workshops and Twitter-based prize draws, there could have been many worse ways to spend my Saturday.
The best part turned out to be the friendships made, in fact. After falling in love with Katie while checking in at the Swarovski Crystallized lounge, we ended up spending the following eight hours together and meeting more lovely women and gentlefolk in the process. (Shout out to Felicity and Rosie – wonderful ladies and unexpected soulmates!)
This is a must-do event, guys. First, Katie and I bolted to Jaeger and became two of the lucky 50 bloggers who won £50 gift vouchers. The rest of our day included a cuticle glossing treatment and blow dry at FOUR London (see above!), coffee and pastries from hidden gem Tibits, Godiva chocolate, pampering goodies courtesy of Crabtree and Evelyn, cocktails and tapas from Aqua (one of London’s best rooftops), ice cream from Freggo, a T-shirt in a tin from Superdry, an Airform top from Uniqlo, a Moleskine notebook from Sebago (obsessed!), a food and health ‘tweet treat bag’ from Wholefood Market (poor babies had a boiling water flood before our cupcake-making masterclass!), a nail varnish from The Organic Pharmacy, cocktail making classes at The Living Room, and a delicious chilli-topped martini at Dirty Martini. Swag meets perfect ‘girl’s day‘.
