The Met Gala is probably my all-time favourite red carpet event. Just one look at Leighton Meester’s 2009 Met Gala ensemble – above – gets me all goosebump-y (to top it off, she’s wearing Marchesa tonight!)

Expect to see Balmain’s Oliver Rousteing with Joan Smalls, Alexander Wang with Azealia Banks (who is performing), Anthony Vaccarello with Anja Rubik, Joseph Altuzarra with Lana Del Rey, Erdem Moralioglu with Arizona Muse, Rachel Zoe (and hubby Roger) with Karolina Kurkova, Thakoon Panichgul is taking Christina Ricci (YAY), Proenza Schouler with Isabel Lucas, Heidi Klum in Escada, Michael Kors with Kate Upton (he also dressed Hilary Swank, Jessica Alba, and Liu Wen), Kenneth Cole with Chace Crawford, Donna Karan with cartoon supermodel Polly Bean (I’m serious), Derek Lam with nine-months-pregnant Katharina Harf, Amy Adams in Giambattista Valli haute couture, and all of the Vogue editor’s wearing pink (as per Anna Wintour’s request).
Everyone’s favourite model – Coco Rocha – is wearing an untailored (and slightly wine-stained) neon Givenchy pants suit with matching jacket which she purchased at Elizabeth Taylor’s auction at Christie’s in December. A little birdy tells us her beauty look is “Schiaparelli pink”. I’ve already begged for curls.
