That, my friends, is the epic cover for US Vogue‘s September Issue 2011. You couldn’t really want more than a customized Alexander McQueen Fall/Winter 2011 gown on Kate Moss, could you?
Inside the issue to beat all issues, Kate has a gorgeous spread of wedding photos that feature friends, family, and new husband Jamie Hince in Rodarte.
In the accompanying interview with Hamish Bowles:
After two years together, they took a romantic sabbatical to Thailand: “We were just so loved up, and he asked me to marry him every day.”
The day Kate finally said yes (while watching My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding): “I am so romantic about Gypsies. They’re not allowed to do anything until they get married. So they all get married really young, at sixteen. You can’t believe the dresses. They’re like blinging butterflies times ten; they can’t move down the aisle! It’s so genius. I was just watching Jamie, so cute, and I was like, these girls, they just spend their whole life waiting for that day—let’s do it!”
Her dream wedding: “I wanted it to be kind of dreamy and 1920s, when everything is soft-focus. The Great Gatsby. The code name was GG for a while. That light and that kind of fun decadence. It’s rock-’n’-roll Great Gatsby!”
The controversy-ridden John Galliano on designing Mrs Hince’s wedding dress: “She dared me to be John Galliano again. I couldn’t pick up a pencil. It’s been my creative rehab.”
