Hearing about Chintamani patchwork, Beukhara embroidered Ottoman jackets, and Moroccan Beni embroidered melton wool, only one name comes to mind – Oscar de la Renta. In my opinion, he is one of the only designers of Fall/Winter 2011 who took a theme and didn’t go textbook with it. Instead, he took Middle Eastern culture to a mod level.
