The rumours are true: Carine Roitfeld is resigning from French Vogue. After 10 years at the helm of the rock and roll-esque fashion magazine, Roitfeld has announced she is stepping down as Editor-in-Chief by saying “- it’s 10 years that I’m editor of the magazine. I think it’s time to do something different.”
Roitfeld confirmed that she had informed Jonathan Newhouse, CEO of Conde Nast International, of her decision to pursue new projects. “I have no problem with Jonathan, and he understood me very well. I had so much freedom to do everything I wanted. I think I did a good job. When everything is good, maybe I think it’s the time to do something else. I have no plan at all.”
The Parisian’s replacement will announced in the coming weeks. Ten bucks on Emmanuelle Alt.
