Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Mario Testino-lensed royal engagement photos have been released! Testino took two pictures – a formal shot in the Council Chamber of St. James’ Palace’s State Apartment, and a more casual one in the palace’s Cornwall Room. Photographer Of The Royals told the AP: “I have never felt so much joy as when I see them together.”
So what are they wearing in the photos? In the formal shot, William is sporting a classic gray suit/white shirt/blue tie combo while Kate is wearing a white Reiss dress. A dress so important – though originally featured in the mass of Reiss‘ Autumn/Winter collection – “a version of the dress style Kate chose will be re-released and available beginning in January 2011, as part of the Reiss Spring/Summer 2011 collection,” according to the brand.
In the casual photo, Will opted for a Brunello Cucinelli fawn-colored cashmere sweater in ‘something borrowed’ fashion as it was given to him to throw on over his white Turnbull & Asser button-down by Mario Testino and the team who attended the shoot. Kate chose an ivory top from Whistles. As expected, Kate’s engagement ring (you know, the one that launched a thousand imitations) is on full display in both shots.
So, what about some exclusive news on the Royal Wedding? We have been told that Kate’s wedding dress is already being made inside the palace for security reasons. William will be wearing his Royal Air Force uniform, and Prince Harry will also be in military uniform. For the 11am wedding ceremony, a dress code has been set in place as morning dress or lounge (business) suit for men and a smart day dress with a hat for women. There will be several wedding breakfasts, with the main one for family and close friends of the couple which will be hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace. That evening there is set to be a reception at The Ritz, organised by Lady Elizabeth Anson, the Queen’s cousin. As for where the newlyweds will live after the wedding, plans are set for North Wales so William can continue his work at the RAF. Palace insiders have also confirmed that Kate has even started to learn Welsh in order for her to one day become the Princess of Wales. Aww.
