Milan Fashion Week is in full swing, and glamour is back at Gucci. Frida Giannini has worked wonders with colour-blocked separates, fierce and fringed dresses, and modern takes on utilitarian styles like riding pants and aviator jackets. I am no longer numb on neutrals! It was Boogie Nights. It was Studio 54. Commercially luxurious as sartorially possible, it mirrored the effects of Yves Saint Laurent‘s “Peasant Chic” being born back in 1976.
